I honestly never thought I would use an AI copywriting tool. Today I will tell you the whole process of how I use an AI copywriting tool.
At first, I was a bit skeptical. Because, it seemed strange to hand over my writing work to an artificial intelligence software. However, I changed my mind.
Because, the AI copywriting tools that are now available are amazing at writing SEO copy for product descriptions, ad copy, social media posts, and even entire blog posts.
There are many AI copywriting tools on the market now. But one thing needs to be made clear at the beginning. To be honest, not all of them are the best, and all of them have their own advantages and disadvantages. Rather, it is more realistic to think of it as a quick working assistant.
Here I will discuss the top 11 tools that I like. However, let’s first know a brief definition of the tools and some of their limitations.
What is AI Copywriting Tool?
Many people may wonder what AI Copywriting Tool is? So let’s first discuss this topic. AI Copywriting Tool is made with artificial intelligence software. Which can write or create various types of content with the help of artificial intelligence. This is why countless bloggers, marketers, freelancers, digital agencies, small businesses and large organizations around the world currently use AI copywriting tools.
Does AI Copywriting Really Work? Limitations and Ways to Use AI Copywriting
When I heard about ChatGPT or Gemini, I thought as a content writer: Can I automate the entire process of creating a blog? Or can I do something else?
I could create a content brief with Clearscope or Frase.io or Surfer, and use an AI copywriting tool like Jasper to write the text (and maybe Hemingway or Grammarly for editing). I could do keyword research with Content Gap Analysis in Ahrefs.
Then I could hire a virtual assistant to manage the process. It didn’t work.
I tried many AI Copywriting Tools, and unfortunately, you can’t just let the AI do its thing and expect the best results. At least initially, you have to work in tandem with the tool to create something close to consistent and accurate content.
So, AI writing my blog posts while I’m sitting on the beach—that dream of mine has yet to come true. Content writers, you still have a job role on the marketing team (at least for now).
But I do benefit from AI copywriting tools. How do I use them?
In the first case, tools like Copy AI and Jasper AI are great at helping you get out of your own head and put words on the page. Even if you have to edit the words they generate later, you already have a momentum and, as a result, write a blog post much faster than you could have without them.
When it comes to writing sales copy, I was really new to it. Tools like Jasper (and Copy.AI) have a lot of frameworks that help you write copy (like AIDA). They also help you format your copy for specific mediums, like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or LinkedIn Ads.
Finally, if I had to write a lot of ecommerce product descriptions, I wouldn’t do it myself. Because in the past, I would have hired an intern or virtual assistant to do this. But now I can easily use an AI copywriter. Without further ado, let me introduce you to all my favorite AI copywriting tools.
The 11 Best AI Copywriting Tools

- AI Writer
- Wordtune
- Snazzy AI

- WordAI
- Article Forge

1. Jasper

As you can probably guess from the above, Jasper (formerly known as Conversion.AI) is one of my favorite AI copywriting tools.
This product (and its team) are truly amazing. Of all the AI copywriters I’ve found, it’s the only one that can create long-form blog content.
Their AI-based writing assistant is trained by conversion and copywriting experts, which has helped it gain incredible writing skills and write copy that converts.
They even claim that every line of their website is written with their own copywriting tool.
As I said, they write blog posts very well. I believe (maybe wrong) that they are the only ones using GPT-3 functionality for long-form content. I’m using the tool to write this article right now. For some reason, they produce search engine optimized content quite well.
But I’ve also found it to be quite effective for writing long sales copy, Facebook ads, LinkedIn ads, and Google ads. I haven’t used it for email marketing or product descriptions yet, but I’m sure it will be soon.
What more can I say? I love the user interface, it’s super easy to use, and it has powerful features for power users (I’m not one yet, but I hope to be one day).
They even have a very active Facebook group, full of their fans, where you can learn tips from the most experienced power users.
Also, try out their new “Boss Mode” feature, where Jasper writes your entire article in about 10 seconds with just one prompt. Really awesome!
2. Copy.AI

Copy.AI is one of my favorite AI copywriters.
It’s really great at writing sales copy – from meta descriptions to Facebook ads, email subject lines, and more. Copy.AI can also generate blog content, although I don’t think it’s quite as good as Jasper when it comes to long-form content and AI articles.
However, Copy.AI is very easy to use and the copy they produce is top-notch.
To get started, select the type of copy you want and then add some information about your product – CopyAI will do the rest. You can even target specific customers in laser-targeted locations.
You get access to a bunch of Ai copywriting tools, including templates, which basically dictate the type of content Copy.ai creates. It lets you create product descriptions, social ads, website copy, blog intros, blog outlines, email copy, social media taglines, subject lines, and more.
Here’s an example I just created based on a fictional kava drink:
Honestly? Awesome copy in just 2-3 seconds of effort.
3. WriteSonic

WriteSonic is another AI Copywriting tool that is free to use (no credit card required).
It is available in about 20 languages, including popular ones like English, German, Spanish, etc.
The tool isn’t great for creating long blog post content, but it’s quite effective for creating short answers, such as FAQ modules, Facebook ads (they have a Facebook ad demo on their homepage), and product descriptions. Writesonic is great as an affordable and easy-to-use tool.
4. Surfer SEO

Most AI copywriting tools generate text without any preconceived ideas. Surfer SEO is the opposite. It analyzes content that is already ranking and incorporates that intelligence into the writing process.
Its content editor compares your draft score with top-ranking pages in real-time to show you which terms to include, ideal word count, heading structure, and which NLP entities to cover.
Surfer AI takes this a step further. Because it generates a fully optimized draft in advance. You input a keyword, set it to your writing style and structure preferences, and you get a first draft that is based on SERP data rather than just pattern matching with GPT output. It may not win any literary awards, but it’s the fastest way I’ve found to get from keyword to publishable draft.
Where Surfer really excels is its feedback loop. Other tools just give you content and say “good luck.” Surfer gives you a content score and clearly tells you where there are deficiencies: like too few mentions of a subtopic, headers that don’t match search intent, or word count that’s lower than competitors. If you’re writing content for organic traffic (not just social or email copy), this is a significant difference.
5. AI Writer

AI Writer is one of the most affordable AI copywriting tools. They also claim to be the most accurate, capable of generating a full article in two minutes from just a headline.
There are two things I really like about this tool:
First, they give you a list of citations, so you can verify the information and provide accurate and quality content.
Second, they tie everything to keywords, so it’s completely SEO-optimized. In most cases, you’ll need to make some changes (I’d recommend using Clearscope or Phrase).
Another great thing about it is that it’s very affordable. They have a free trial so you can test it out, and then it starts at just $19 per month.
However, I will say that AI Writer seems a bit underpriced compared to Jasper and Copy AI. At the time of writing, they have a rating of only 3 stars on G2 and a total rating of only 5. This may be best for those on a limited budget and those who want to save time in exchange for quality.
6. Wordtune

Wordtune is a simple tool, a Chrome extension, that can help you rewrite your tweets, blog posts, memos, and taglines.
You can try it out for free on their website. Check it out:
The main purpose of this tool is a little different; they’re not trying to replace human writing, but rather to improve and enrich it. That’s why they focus on rewriting and editing. You create the text, and they’ll show you countless ways to improve it.
Wordtune is very affordable (starts for free with up to 20 rewrites per month). If you’re looking for a basic tool to help you innovate your writing style and ideas, this is a good option.
7. Snazzy AI
Snazzy AI was one of the most powerful and well-respected AI copywriting tools, especially for landing pages and copywriting. It was recently acquired and integrated into their Conversion Intelligence suite.
While you won’t get any long blog posts from this tool, it’s still quite useful for those looking to create and optimize sales copy, taglines, ad campaigns, and smaller parts of landing pages.
They have ready-made templates for Google Ads, taglines, landing pages, and product descriptions.
In terms of integration, it’s part of Unbounce’s suite, so it naturally connects to Unbounce as well as any other product they integrate with. Its new name is “Smart Copy,” and it comes with your Unbounce subscription.
8. Copysmith

Copysmith is an AI copywriting platform built for teams.
With features like team workflow queue, bulk content generation, and AI-powered expert research, this is the tool for you if you want to dramatically increase your content production with the help of machine learning. If you’re looking to create a lot of content at once, Copysmith will speed up your work and keep everyone on the same page.
I like it because it allows you to reduce the use of unnecessary tools and get a lot of your project management tasks done within this product. Their workflow queue helps you speed up content feedback and approval, save on the cost of third-party project management tools, and avoid endless feedback review meetings.
It integrates easily with Phrase, Google Ads, and Shopify, and it also has a Google Chrome extension.
9. WordAI

WordAI has been around for years, so it’s definitely more stable than most of the tools on this list.
They’re known for their speed and efficiency. Their website says, “Increase your content output by 10x.”
One thing I really like about WordAI is that in addition to content creation, they also emphasize sentence editing and rewriting capabilities. It works not only to create, but also to improve your written copy.
Their AI “tryes to understand the meaning of each sentence, then rewrites it from scratch, optimizing for uniqueness and readability.”
Another benefit is that it can enrich your existing articles with LSI keywords, which helps your articles rank for additional keywords.
Overall, WordAI focuses a lot on the quality of the content – such as rewriting, LSI keyword optimization, and optimization for sentence and paragraph clarity. This is a great tool for enhancing the capabilities of your current writers in SEO writing, advertising, and social media posts.
10. Article Forge

Article Forge is very easy to use. Enter keywords, wait 60 seconds, and get a full article.
According to their website, the tool is the result of years of artificial intelligence research, and its deep learning models have been trained on millions of articles, so it can intelligently write about virtually any topic.
Their website features samples of work written on a variety of topics, from Bitcoin and technology to health, business, and finance.
Its application seems to be quite versatile, although it is particularly capable in highly researched topics like technology and business.
11. Wordsmith
Wordsmith is an AI text generator for the enterprise. You know it because they have a big “request demo” button on their website. And it has that old-school enterprise B2B feel.
Wordsmith is actually just one product under the umbrella of parent company Automated Insights.
It’s a self-service platform that offers full narrative customization, real-time content updates, and a powerful API for flexible publishing.
They also have custom BI dashboards.
If you run a large content operation like the Associated Press, this is probably best. For an ecommerce or SaaS content operation, it’s probably overkill.
Conclusion
Human content creators will continue to be around for years to come, but the capabilities of AI Copywriting tools are improving at an astonishing rate.
Especially for startups, small business owners, freelancers, agency owners, and anyone looking to increase their productivity, the AI Copywriting tools on this list save time and money and free up more of your resources for other business tasks, like setting business strategies and increasing conversion rates.
For human AI copywriters, consider these tools as a way to increase your workload, edit more efficiently, and face the blank page without fear or writer’s block.
You do need to have a writing process and a command of the English language, but these tools can really help you brainstorm and create AI-generated content that rivals the quality of human writers.
